At Resurrection, our focus is on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Together, we share in the hope and rejoice in the promise of a new life through our Savior.
Our hope in the resurrection also impacts how we serve one another both in our congregation and in the community. We welcome with open arms all who seek to learn more about Jesus, and the hope of the resurrection for all who believe in Him.
Visit us and you will see how this central focus colors our worship, preaching and Bible study. Resurrection also strives to keep our focus on the resurrection of Jesus through our Sunday school, Bible study, youth programs, adult nurture, and our Little Lambs Preschool.
Resurrection has been serving the Hampton Roads area since 1965, and moved into our current church home in Chesapeake, at 916 Centerville Turnpike, in 2007. We also reach out into the world in partnership with our national church body, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), supporting missions here in the U.S. and around the world.

A Welcome Message From Our Pastor
Thank you for taking a moment to learn a little bit about Resurrection—I’m glad you’ve found us! I’d like to personally invite you to visit us one Sunday to find out more. I have served Resurrection since 2006. I enjoy watching people grow in their faith and relationship with their Savior, and strive to provide Sunday services and Bible Classes that enhance that relationship. I also work with the members and leadership of Resurrection as we work together to share our faith in our community.
I have a wonderful wife, Melissa, who spends her time caring for our children, Elijah, Simeon, Esther, Corah, Stephen, and Josiah.
When I am not at church, you can find me spending time with my family, woodworking, or watching the garden grow.
