Worship & Services

Worship is at the heart of what we do and who we are at Resurrection. Our Sunday worship service is at 9:30 every Sunday, and generally lasts for about one hour. It is an interactive worship. The pastor reads from the Bible, leads prayers and preaches. The worshippers contribute by singing hymns and reading appropriate responses.

Our worship centers around God’s Word and sacraments, the tools He uses to give us spiritual strength. In our worship we strive for comfortable reverence. This means we want worshippers to be comfortable and enjoy their experience. At the same time we recognize that we are interacting with the eternal and almighty God, therefore we want our worship to reflect the reverence He deserves. The goal of comfortable reverence is reflected in everything from the architecture and the use of art to the musical styles we incorporate.

What should I wear?

We encourage you to dress at your comfort level and know that you will be welcomed in our midst. Some choose to come dressed in their “Sunday best.” Others choose to come in relaxed attire. All are welcome as we share the blessings of Christian worship.

Little Worshippers

Children are a heritage from the Lord, a heritage that Jesus welcomes and blesses when they come into his presence. We rejoice that you are interested in bringing your child to worship with you, and gladly welcome them into the worship service. In the service your child is able to worship Jesus their Savior. They can learn the truths of the Christian faith as they listen and learn the prayers and songs of the service week after week.

We also understand children can also be tired or need a break from the service. A Little Worshippers’ room is provided that has windows looking into the service and speakers that broadcast the service. This room is available for anyone that has need of it.
