What a week of excitement! Last week our children gathered in a fortress to learn how the Lord is their mighty fortress. What an awesome Lord he is as well. He gives us victory as he removes any fears that we have–fears of death and sin and guilt and danger–because he is our refuge and strength. He gives us victory as he reveals his Word to us. This Word is powerful and able to change hearts to love him. The Lord gives us victory, as he sends a Savior to rescue us from our sin. Our Savior gives us victory as he rode into Jerusalem to die on the cross for us, but then rose again on the third day as our victorious King! Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
As our children learned these exciting truths about the victory our Lord brings them, they also were able to sing their songs of praise to the mighty Lord. They grew in God’s gifts of the arts as they built crafts and projects pointing them once more to God’s might and strength. They encouraged each other as they shared the joy of knowing the Lord each day.
It was an awesome week to see the children excited to learn about how the Lord is their mighty fortress, who brings them the victory.
