This week we returned to school to find that our “Bonus Baby” caterpillar had been hard at work over the weekend–in trying to find a place to attach and make his chrysalis, he knocked all our other chrysalises to the ground!!! We carefully scooped them up and placed them in their butterfly palace, and prayed for the best. Meanwhile we watched as our bonus baby made his j, then turned into a chrysalis. On Thursday we watched in amazement as something emerged from our fallen chrysalises–BUTTERFLIES!!!! It was so breathtaking to watch as each butterfly emerged, dried and pumped their wings, and we even got to see how their proboscis formed together from 2 pieces. God’s beautiful creation!!!
